Challenges of online courses in nepal

1.Nepal dont have good internet acesss so some of them are unable to enroll it
2.Nepalese parents thinks bad while using more laptop,desktop & mobile.They are illetreate so don`t know about he online courses

Here are the some of the importance of education.As we all know that online learning too have many importance.Here are some them:

Education is most important among all of us. Education plays a very important role in your life. For living a luxurious life or for living a better life, you should be educated. Education is that which transforms a person to live a better life and even in a social well being. Education is the one that doing something constructive in our near future. It helps a person to show their best by their mind and spirit. It gives you a lot of knowledge in whatever aspects. Education plays a vital role in your success in the personal growth. The more you have knowledge the more you grow. Being educated and earning a professional degree prepares you to be a part in reputed organizations, companies or institutions. For determining what is good or what is bad for you, education will help you. A person who gets good education will become good citizen, more dependable worker. Without education a person is incomplete, so education makes man a right thinker and a correct decision – maker.

In today’s competitive world education is necessity for man after food, clothing, and shelter. Education is the solution of any problem, it is the only education which promotes good habits, values and awareness towards anything like terrorism, corruption and much more. Education is the strength to a person and education need to a person. Now a days technology plays a important role in continuing the communication of education through known and unknown persons. It is the only fundamental way by which a desired change and upliftment in the society can be taken into effect.

I am Mr. Jivan Poudel.I am inhabitant of Nepal .as you know that Nepal is a poor country but are enrolling good number of online courses.As we know that in a poor country there won`t be any kind of proper education facilities but we are solving those problems by using various online courses which teaches us about the different topic.My school friend are enrolling it .I have too enrolled 5 of the courses.so today i am going to give knowledge about some of the online courses website

edX is a massive open online course (MOOC) provider. It hosts online university-level courses in a wide range of disciplines to a worldwide student body, including some courses at no charge. It also conducts research into learning based on how people use its platform. EdX differs from other MOOC providers, such as Coursera and Udacity, in that it is a nonprofit organization and runs onopen-source software.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University created edX in May 2012. More than 70 schools, nonprofit organizations, and corporations offer or plan to offer courses on the edX website. As of 24 March 2016, edX has more than 7 million students taking more than 700 courses online.EdX was founded in May 2012 by scientists from Harvard and MIT. Gerry Sussman, Anant Agarwal, Chris Terman, and Piotr Mitros teach the first edX course on circuits and electronics from MIT, drawing 155,000 students from 162 countries. In 2013 they partnered with Stanford and in June 2013 they reached 1 million students edx.org released as open source, creating Open edX.

In October 2014 edX announced Professional Education courses, and in March 2015 it partnered with Microsoft.

Coursera works with universities and other organizations to make some of their courses available online, offering courses in subjects, such as: physics, engineering, humanities, medicine, biology, social sciences, mathematics, business,computer science, digital marketing, data science, and other subjects.

ll courses offered by Coursera are "accessible for free"and some give the option to pay a fee to join the "Signature Track." Students on the Signature Track receive verified certificates, appropriate for employment purposes. These students authenticate their course submissions by sending webcam photos and having their typing pattern analyzed.

There are many specializations which are fee based, but even these courses can be audited for free, with the restriction that one cannot give the quizzes for that course. Courses such as "How To Create A Website In A Weekend" restrict the peer review or collaboration function of the curriculum to students who have paid a required fee.

The website provides courses in a variety of areas, including Humanities, Medicine, Biology, Social Sciences, Mathematics, Business, Computer Science, Digital Marketing and Data Science. Each course includes short video lectures on different topics and assignments to be submitted, usually on a weekly basis.^[17]

Coursera courses are approximately four to ten weeks long, with one to two hours of video lectures a week. These courses provide quizzes, weekly exercises, peer-graded assignments, and sometimes a final project or examCourses are also provided on-demand in which the user can take his/her time in completing the course with all of the material available at once, and as of May 2015, 104 courses are on-demand.

Coursera also offers specializations, which is a set of courses, that help increase understanding of a certain topic. As of May 2015, 28 specializations are listed on the website.

Coursera and University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign have partnered to offer a business degree that will be available to anyone. Students have options to register and complete business courses offered by University of Illinois on Coursera. This option is available in a free version (which let the student watch the video lectures and do the assignments, without being graded) and a paid version (which include the certification at the end of the course). In addition, students may register for University of Illinois iMBA program to achieve fully accredited Masters in Business Administration. This iMBA degree would cost about $20,000, which is just a fraction of what the MBA degree costs at any other top ranked school in the United States. Details and requirements are available on Coursera and University of Illinois iMBA websites.

Web forums are provided for courses, and some students also arrange face to face study meet-ups using meetup.com, or online meetups. However, the Coursera Honor Code prohibits copying answers, therefore the discussion should not exchange answers but should practice a healthy debate.
